EVERY DAY CARRY · SEASON 1 · WEEK 10

Work was part of God’s design before sin ever entered the world. Five days on working for an audience of One, without grumbling or coasting, and then resting.

Work as Worship.

Five episodes · October 19–23, 2026 · Free discussion guide

KEY SCRIPTURE

Colossians 3:23–24 (ESV): “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

THE BIG IDEA

Work was part of God’s design before sin ever entered the world. Do it for an audience of One, without grumbling or coasting, with action instead of talk, and with all your might. Then rest. We don’t work to earn God’s approval. We work hard because we already have it.

THE HARD QUESTION

If your kids described how you feel about your job, what would they say?

CARRY IT TOGETHER

Each man names one dreaded task he’ll tackle and one block of real rest he’ll take this week.

Close in prayer: For men out of work or in hard jobs, and for each man’s witness where he works.

Ways to use this week.

ON YOUR OWN | Listen each weekday, read the passage, and choose one action to practice before Friday.

WITH ONE OTHER MAN | Listen separately, then meet or call and answer the week’s hard question together.

MEN’S GROUP | Listen during the week, then work through the discussion guide when you meet. Plan on about an hour.

PASTOR OR MINISTRY LEADER | Send your men this page with a short introduction and a specific invitation to discuss it. The ready-to-send message is below.

WEEKEND WARRIORS TABLE | Open with the guide’s opening question, then move into your table’s prayer order.

For pastors and men’s leaders.

Everything you need to lead this week without extra prep.

Your next step.

TAKE STOCK

Take the Man Check: a short self-assessment across six fronts of a man’s life, with a focused seven-day plan for the front that needs the most attention.

Know where you’re actually fighting.

No guilt. No shame. Just help overcoming.

FIND YOUR SEAT AT THE TABLE

Weekend Warriors is a monthly, one-hour prayer breakfast. Men meet at a local restaurant and pray by name for each other, their families, church, community, state, nation, and world.

Don’t carry this alone.

Don’t see one near you? We’ll help you start one, just ask.
