KEY SCRIPTURE

THE BIG IDEA
God looks for a man to stand in the breach. This week asks a hard question: where are you? Standing in the gap means rescuing instead of looking away, closing the breach in yourself first, pursuing justice without joining a mob, and courage that’s always done in love.

THE HARD QUESTION
Is there a room where you stayed silent and someone got hurt? What would making it right look like?
CARRY IT TOGETHER
Each man tells the group the room he’ll speak up in and asks them to hold him to it.
Close in prayer: For victims of sexual violence, for the young men in your lives, and for courage when the moment comes.
Ways to use this week.
ON YOUR OWN | Listen each weekday, read the passage, and choose one action to practice before Friday.
WITH ONE OTHER MAN | Listen separately, then meet or call and answer the week’s hard question together.
MEN’S GROUP | Listen during the week, then work through the discussion guide when you meet. Plan on about an hour.
PASTOR OR MINISTRY LEADER | Send your men this page with a short introduction and a specific invitation to discuss it. The ready-to-send message is below.
WEEKEND WARRIORS TABLE | Open with the guide’s opening question, then move into your table’s prayer order.
For pastors and men’s leaders.
Everything you need to lead this week without extra prep.

This week, we’re working through Stand in the Gap, five short Every Day Carry devotionals. Listen during the week, then come ready to answer this: “What’s a room you regularly walk into where you might be the only man willing to speak up?” The episodes and free discussion guide are here: mensministry.online/edcpodcast/season-1/stand-in-the-gap

This is a sensitive week. Some men may be survivors, and some may carry guilt over past silence or actions. Don’t name anyone in the case or speculate; nothing alleged has been proven in court. Share the National Sexual Assault Hotline: 800-656-4673. Follow up privately with anyone who opens up; serious disclosures need pastoral care, and possibly legal help, beyond the group.
Your next step.
WIN THE FIGHT
A free five-day email Battle Plan with Scripture and practical steps for men fighting pornography.
Close the breach.
No guilt. No shame. Just help overcoming.
FIND YOUR SEAT AT THE TABLE
Weekend Warriors is a monthly, one-hour prayer breakfast. Men meet at a local restaurant and pray by name for each other, their families, church, community, state, nation, and world.
Don’t carry this alone.
Don’t see one near you? We’ll help you start one, just ask.
